Gestational diabetes is a disease in which the pregnant woman suffers from increased levels of blood glucose. Medical scientists are unable to reveal the exact cause of gestational diabetes. However it is generally linked with additional stress of pregnancy on the body of the woman. Most women experience no symptoms of gestational diabetes so they remain unaware of their medical condition unless they are tested for it.

Excessive Urination: Excessive urination is caused by high-level of blood glucose level which results in an increased flow of blood towards the kidneys.
Unquenchable Thirst: This results from dehydration because of excessive urination.
Excessive Hunger: The body has to suffer from lack of energy. This results in dehydration from excessive urination.
Unexplained Weight Loss: Glucose is unable to get into the cells of the body; so body has to suffer from energy deficit. This results in an increased hunger.
Fatigue: Fatigue and tiredness is also the result of increased fatigue
Irritability: Irritability and mood swings are caused because of increase tiredness and excessive hunger
Blurred Vision: Blurred vision is the result the result of an increased blood flow towards the eye which results in the swelling of eye lens.
