Exercises For Diabetes



When we say exercise to prevent diabetes, it doesn't necessarily need to be hours of exercise every day. To say more precisely even 10 minutes of exercise per week is more than enough to prevent diabetes. Normally people are recommended to do 30 minutes of exercise per day to maintain good health condition and to avoid diabetes and other health problems caused due to diabetes like obesity and heart problems. But most of the people find it difficult to spare 30 minutes of time every day in exercise due to various reasons.




As I said before, it is not necessary to spend 30 minutes every day in intense exercise to avoid diabetes. Even 10 minutes of exercise per week will do the job if you can do it in the right way that is. When I said the right way, I meant a way of doing more intense exercise for a short period of time to gain similar benefit of doing 30 minutes moderate exercise every day.
The researchers asked 16 people who were around 20 years old to take part in their exercise sessions in which every person's exercise limit will differ between 4 to 30 seconds. These people were also made to drink some kind of solution which contains 75 grams of glucose to calculate the amount of time required for their blood sugar and insulin level to remain elevated. In just 2 weeks, the researchers found that the duration of blood sugar and insulin level elevation was reduced by 12% and 37%.




The study about moderate exercise never showed as much result directly as the intense exercise method did. Hence the researches recommend that every one in the age group between 20 and 40 must try to do 4 to 6 times of 30 seconds intense exercise twice per every week to maintain good health condition.
If you don't know what kind of intense exercise to do, you don't need to worry; just a simple running or riding in a bicycle or even running up a flight of stairs is more than enough to be considered as intense exercise.
